In January 2015, Green Dot began removing MoneyPaks –- Green Dot branded loadable prepaid cards with scratchoff numbers -– from retail stores in the United States. Although MoneyPaks are no longer sold, any MoneyPak purchased before this time can still be redeemed at Rixty.

In August, Green Dot released a replacement product called Green Dot eCash, which uses their new Green Dot @ the Register system. This new system allows Rixty users to top-up Rixty accounts with cash via paper payslips and mobile phones at major stores across the U.S.
